I've made a chicken and vegetable casserole (non TMX recipe) from a AWW recipe using left over BBQ chook - I used left over turkey from Christmas, and Uni's SOS sauce instead of the canned soup that the recipe says to use.

Have also just made a batch of jersey caramels with the kids - using a recipe I got from Kimmyh

The mixture tastes divine!  Cant wait until they set in the fridge.  Thanks Kim!
Karen or Kimmy, jersey caramels, are they done in the TM, if so would love the recipe please :)

Glad you like them Karen. Think I have made 5 batches in 4 weeks. We just love them in our house.  Thanks for passing on the link. It's a great site with lots of healthy naughty things!
Hally if you make them, throw everything in and try speed 9 for 45secs. I put them in the fridge, but prefer to eat them at room temp.

I might need to try those Jersey Caramels once we have eaten all of the Christmas baking. :)
Today I tried the basic shortbread base from my new cookbook - Keeping it Simple. It was easy to use and didn't need to be rolled out. I made individual lemon curd tarts and the pastry was lovely and crisp. It would make a good base for fruit topped custard tarts.
I also made a fruit salad and served it in baskets made from Trudy's

The shortbread looks great and that's the nicest gingerbread house I have ever seen maddy - now why doesn't that surprise me  ;D  How many hours did you spend on it?

Thank you all for your lovely comments  :-*....and I only let 1 F-bomb come out too  ;) :P....that's pretty good for me  ;D
Judy, I baked the structure the day before, then decorating, assembling & drying time in between probably took 3 1/2 hours.
I decorated the walls flat on the table before assembling, so that made it easier....probably wasn't wise to start decorating at 11.30pm Christmas Eve....I had panda eyes the next day  :-X
....and I love Geoff's comment...give him a   :-* from me.

BZB...WoW, that's so clever!...and time consuming I'm guessing.

Gosh, Jersey caramels, lemon curd tarts...all looks delicious  :-*
.........EAT CAKE!

ES, that is so pretty and yummy. Did you use fresh or frozen berries on the tarts?

Maddy, how did you make your magical creation in just 3 1/2 hours?? I'm in awe.......

Like BZB, I am in awe of all the fab cooking.  BZB,  your baking looks Epic also.
Today I made bread with Chestnut flour.   Inspiration from November English Country  Living.  Very nice with Cream Cheese.
