We're having friends around tomorrow, so starting today with a few things.  Have prepared garlic bread, made jelly slice, smoked chicken pate, and a brown sugar pavlova.

I have never ever made a pav before, so we will see how that ends up - looks good so far, but it spread out more than I realised it would, so not sure what I'll serve it on.  Considering raiding the recycling bin and covering a piece of cardboard with foil.

Now about to make a cake  ;D

So, we should be set for dessert anyway, not so much mains & savoury foods, but I'm good with that  ;)

Great cake BZB and Happy Birthday to your DS.

No cooking today it's going to be far too hot.

I've made a chicken and vegetable casserole (non TMX recipe) from a AWW recipe using left over BBQ chook - I used left over turkey from Christmas, and Uni's SOS sauce instead of the canned soup that the recipe says to use.

Have also just made a batch of jersey caramels with the kids - using a recipe I got from Kimmyh

The mixture tastes divine!  Cant wait until they set in the fridge.  Thanks Kim!

The original recipe isn't TMX, but I made them in it just fine.  Here is the link that Kimmyh sent me:

They don't come out with the white stripe in the middle like the bought ones, but IMHO they taste better and are much healthier.

I'm making the Burnt Butter Cherry Pie from FFS and also the Hokey Pokey icecream.
