Yummmmmm! Could I have some of those nuggets, Uni, and lasagne, Mich. Drooling....

Been very busy with the boys, as they had piano competitions last week. Thank goodness they did ok. Still crazy here cos middle child is going in for his Grade 8 exam next week. 😱😱😱😱😱

Could only manage quick peeks in the forum every now and then 😁

Anyway, posting here cos I made an ILB choc cake and covered with choc ganache made in TM, for the boys' piano teacher. A token of appreciation for her hard work. The boys made her a lovely card as well 😄

Thanks Uni.

What a lovely gesture BZB. The cake, professional as usual and what a lovely touch with a handmade card. You have lovely boys making the effort to thank their piano teacher.  :D

This thread is good for the soul. !!    I have just caught up on 15 pages.   Such great cooks here.  Today I managed to burn a large pot of lamb shank and veggie soup.  Obviously no TMX.   GC made 2 cakes,  no help from me.   Not bad for 2 ,  11 year olds.

Cute cakes Chookie, hope you're enjoying your stay with the kids.  Bad luck about the soup, hope you were able to save it - lamb shanks are not cheap.

BZB, I have missed you.  Clever boys and a clever Mum.
I dehydrated and then thermied some lemons at last. It's been on my todo so long. Think I will make some cranberry pistachio and lemon shortbread.

Lasagne looks good mcmich; is the recipe on this forum as we have vegetarian friends coming in a few weeks and I always wonder what to give them. When they come we eat the same and don't have meat on the table.

Lovely cakes from Chookie's GC and BZB. Mich your lasagne looks lovely too.
Clever Denise, that will be handy.

I made some Chocolate Fudgy Wudgy cookies today with a couple of adaptions and a big pot of chicken stock.

Bedlam! thankyou!!! I have had some lemons for some time and not known what to do with them! Thank you for reminding me!!!

Mcmich, the lasagna looks lovely and Chookie your GKs are very clever! I have such fond memories of cooking with my grandmothers, and I am really looking forward to cooking with my future gks too (although DD is only 3 so I have a while to go!!!

Indian dinner party cooking (for 10 people) is nearly complete...I made the curries today so that the flavour continues to develop...
Today's efforts:
*Goat Vindaloo
*Butter Chicken (forum)
*Beef Korma (Indian book)
*Dahl (non-tmx)
*Naan x3 (thanks Chookie)
*Chicken roulades from  Masterchef Australia website (http://tenplay.com.au/channel-ten/masterchef/recipes/rose-tea-smoked-chicken-tikka-masala some good TMX use, but I used it more :) )
*Praline to serve with the Kulfi I made the other day
and I'm sure there's more but I'm soooo tired I can't remember!
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/
