Oh Chookie those crumpets look amaizing; my starter is on the bench waiting as we have run out of bread. I will have to make two loaves tomorrow, one in the oven and one in the slow cooker. Just as well SD is slow because I have a sewing day in the middle of the waiting around for it to rise. I keep wondering what you will come up with next.

DD decided to bake cookies for her DB, it's his bday today.  Of course she then had to run of to work  and muggins here ( who is dieting ) had the pleasure of baking all the dough.
21/2 hours later, and a much cleaner kitchen!

Today I've made:
QJs creamy chicken & brown rice soup
cinnamon scrolls from the recipe community http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/baking-sweet-recipes/cinnamon-scrolls/17583 (more like scones)
Another attempt at my rye, ale & cheese sourdough (I haven't cut it yet, but I already know I'm not happy with it)
And arancini from leftover risotto, served with Nico's saffron garlic aioli for lunch.

It all looks lovely to me Katie.

Bedlam, isn't that always the way? Mum gets to finish off.

Great biscuits bedlam.
You've been busy Katie. I was going to try those scrolls. Won't bother now, thanks 😉
I made EDC buttermilk scones, passionfruit syrup, tenina's passionfruit & lime biscuits, Merle's passionfruit slice (which is almost identical to the one found on the recipe community) and tenina's soft buttermilk rolls.

All looks great Kimmy.

The scrolls tasted really nice, they're just more like scones than scrolls (no yeast, so certainly quicker to make).
