The full traditional Christmas roast dinner.  Everything organised and just waiting for the family to arrive.  A rest day tomorrow I think. :D :D

Due to family circumstances we are having our celebration tomorrow.  DD is ' doing' it this year.  We are taking cold meats, ham , roast pork with an apple and pistachio stuffing and roast Turkey.  Also vanilla ice cream and Pav. , and bread rolls.  I have had another go at the pork pin wheels. Getting there!
CC, at least you got the Turkey.
Kimmyh,  beautiful as usual.  So neat and even.

Better looking crackle chookie.
Lots of cooking today. Started with puftaloons for breakfast (scone like muffins done in frypan), roast turkey, berry glazed ham, rolled chicken, gravy, roast potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potato, cauli, carrots and peas. Followed by pudding with the best custard I've ever made. New recipe I found on Facebook that uses part cream part milk. Very tasty. Can post if anyone is interested. All cooked out. Merry Christmas x

Kimmy you must be exhausted. All I have cooked today is some of Uni's One hour rolls. Then no one had one. They are now in the freezer.

Oh cookie, what a pity! Enjoy another day.
I only made bread sauce to take to our Christmas dinner out, we had a great meal.
Tomorrow will have to cook a bit...

Kimmy, I would love the recipe for the custard, DH loves custard.

It's a shame no one had any bread rolls at least they can be frozen.

Michele this is the custard recipe I used as posted by Kathy McGee on thermofun members facebook page:

Following Custard is delicious, and nothing like the one in the Basic Cook Book. My friend made it in my TM5 for me, on Sunday.

Put 3 eggs (or 4 egg yolks), 1/4 cup castor sugar and 1 tablespoon cornflour  in bowl.  Insert butterfly.  Mix 1 minute speed 4. It should look creamy. Remove butterfly.  Then add 1 cup cream, 1 cup full cream milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.  Cook 7 minutes, 90 degrees, Speed 4.

It is delicious hot or cold.
We found this consistency perfect for Christmas Pudding. You can use less cornflour if you want it thinner, 1/2 tablespoon (10ml), or more cornflour if you want it thicker, 2 tablespoons (40 ml).
