Yesterday I only used the TM to make pastry for a lemon meringue pie I made using an old recipe.  I tried making the filling in the TM using my recipe but the EDC's method. It turned out only mildly thick, not enough to set for the pie, also very pale.  Tastes lovely though so I added some cream and whizzed, then put into a container and chilled overnight to churn today into a lemon icecream.
I ended up doing the filling the old way on the stove top which only takes a few mins and turns out wonderful.

Looks great JulieO - as usual.  Others have suffered with the filling.  Might need to Get SuperTenina on the job

I have some more of Isi's bread in the oven at the moment. I might put it in a bowl to rise next time as both times I have made it I have an awful sticky mess in the bowl to clean.  Tonight we're having the stuffed chicken from the Varoma book that VHJ reviewed.  I think I'd better make some more pesto as the last lot hardly altered the height of the basil in the garden.

Today I have made Spicy Asian Chicken in Garlic Sauce, fried rice (stovetop) and a vanilla version of the Light Ice-cream. Went to the local market this morning so have plenty of fruit to freeze and make drinks with.

Cookie, you could add 50g. of flour towards the end of the kneading.   With the bread that you knead for an additional 1 min. add the extra flour then.

Thanks Chookie. I love the texture etc of the bread, just hate cleaning the TMX bowl. I think I'll put it in a bowl to rise next time and save the cleaning. The loaf we had at lunch is lovely-we ate half of it, gluttons.

I made chocolate icecream using frozen cubes of EDC choc custard today (blended on speed 9 with some milk) - I think it was Megan's idea from here on the forum??  It was very yummy and so easy.  I probably shouldn't have made it in the same week as making Tenina's indulgent chocolate icecream from her blog, but this was still very nice and more an everyday icecream (not expensive to make and rich to eat).  :)

As we have an excess of rhubarb I intend to do that tomorrow. Make an EDC custard and fold stewed rhubarb through it and freeze it. Then icecream!

Seriously try the Rhubarb cake that JD posted for me. It freezes really well and divine!
