When I make risotto for 6 I do it in the Thermomix using about 500-600 g of rice and a bit more wine and water. Seems to fill my themoserver and I usually have leftovers.  It means they have eaten plenty or it as really bad :o :o :o
...
Not long now Caroline. Best wishes from  me.

Gretchen

Thanks Gretchen, I'll try that next time.  Do you serve it with side things, or just as an 'one pot meal' (which is what I currently do).  The quantities sound about double what I make at the moment though, so it's good to know that it can handle that much.

DD loves risotto - so I'm almost afraid to risk spoiling her with the pizza one  ;D  And I'm sure that it's definitely the 'have eaten plenty' option  :D

Thanks for your good wishes - 5 days to go.

Caroline

If I make that much risotta for a dinner paty I usually do the works. Not many people can be bothered with risotto so they seem to like it  very much. Seafood is my favourite. The pizza one is really good but would not serve it to guests. More of a family one pot thing and too easy. What about a ham and pineapple risotto for DD. Bet she woud love that.

Cheers,
Gretchen

I will try that rhubarb cake ILB. The cake/cookie barrel is nearly empty.

Here is the photo of Isi's Portugese Rolls that I made as a loaf.  Very, very nice.

Last night DH and DD used the TMX to turn out some lovely enchilladas served with salad with buried treasure (cherry tomatoes, DD's idea).  Needless to say DD ate the lot - almost an adult portion, despite the fact that she doesn't like spicy food, and doesn't like tomatoes (or lettuce, particularly).

This morning DH made his special scrambled eggs.  I love it when he makes those - his are the only scrambled eggs that I like.

Tonight we're going to have Brazen's chicken in cheese sauce thingie (the one pot meal using varoma as well).  Sorry Brazen, can't remember the exact name of it  ;D
