HI - have been reading lots and not posting much, so time to change that!Today I made - Anzac biscuits from EDC (first time, pretty yummy), Choc fudge with Grand Marnier (waiting for that to set - almost ready to try with some port!), coleslaw to go with bought chook, and Fruity Dream from EDC with raspberries (some we got on hol in Tassie and froze). Yummo! So that is a big day for me! Have been reading all these great bread recipes, so will do some this week I think. Have only ever done the basic bread, so keen to try Isi's rolls or the fruit bread (sorry, not sure who posted that). That's it for today!Jo
Have been out all day, bought spices and vegies to make things out of the Indian Cookbook. New, and looks good. Did make Thermoconvert's Sweet Chilli sauce. Very easy and tasty. Bought 5 new chooks as the old girls are past their laying best. Bought the green olives to make isi's olives in a crust for our Australia day celebrations .
It has always amazed me at just how many crepes can be made from such a small amount of batter. I keep making them and the level of batter in the bowl never seems to reduce. In fact, I became fatigued and stuck the bowl into the fridge, and am taking a break with my feet up.
I'm going to delve into the TMX archives, both here and on the other sites and search for ideas for filling the crepes. I have my old standards but thought something new might be nice.More later.........
