Thanks Troupie and CC, but never looks good enough to me.  Today bread sticks stuck. I was very annoyed as they were to be given to friends.  So I cooked 3 more. Ral and I are eating the rejects. Nothing wrong with the taste.

Best to eat that cake pretty quickly Jamberie as I found the bottom layer set firmer and firmer each day.
Love how you can multi task LOL.

Great cooking everyone. I've been away for work so no cooking for me, but had a lovely home cooked meal at a work colleagues place last night and had a team dinner at Jamie's Italian the night before so can't complain  ;D

Chookie, at Jamie's Italian as part of our vegetable sharing board there were thin slivers of a very crispy bread topped with slivers of a very strong cheese with Chilli jam on top and it looked just like yours. It was a lovely combination of flavours.

Thanks Wonder, that does sound nice. We had some on last night on flat bread, grilled Haloumi and salad. I am thinking of making bread scrolls with it and cheese filling. Maybe spinach also.

Nice cake Mcmich.  I've copied the recipe.  :D

Chookie, your chilli jam looks really good.  I made Annabel Langbein's one last week but I'm not that thrilled with it to be honest.  Far too sweet, even though I did reduce the sugar somewhat.

I was trying to replicate one that was on a roll we had at an organic cafe when last in Adelaide.  It had the right bite, sweetness etc. so would love to find one similar.

Next time we are there I will ask them what one they use but that won't be until November.  :)
