So do I cookie, the lines help me keep the slices a uniform thickness.

Today I've made mango ice-cream, trifle and a chicken/cauliflower bake.

I also made some Afghans. We haven't had them for years.

Trying to use up odds and ends in my fridge and cupboard I made this today from UK Thermomix. The middle content was a combination of apple sauce and roasted strawberries that was languishing in my fridge. Mixed reviews from this household DH didn't like it,DS declined but I love it. ;D
This could be made Vegan by using Maple Syrup instead of Honey. I used a 20 x 30 cm tin.The recipe is confusing as it says use 20 x 30 tin but in the method it says " grease and line a 20 x 20 tin"  :-))

Cookie, DH was asking me to make him afghans just the other day.

The slice looks good CC. Right up my alley. I have some rice malt syrup in the pantry so will substitute that for the honey.

Funnily enough when we were first on the study we didn't use honey because it isn't vegan but the last few follow-up meetings they have used honey in some recipes they demonstrate. I don't have a problem with honey as I do with eggs, poultry, fish and meat - not all but a lot of those industries, animal cruelty is rife. I've never heard of bees being mistreated. On further investigation apparently it stresses the bees when they take away the honey comb. I don't know how they measure a bee's stress levels - maybe they get frantic or their buzz pitch alters.

I made a loaf of bread for us. I used the recipe that uses some sourdough starter. I remembered later in the day that I had promised to make something for DD to take to work. I made the Fudgey Raspberry Brownies from Nifty but Thrifty. They will be nice as they had chocolate and a tin of condensed milk.

DH requested Peanut Biscuits but I didn't have any peanuts. Instead I made Craisan and Pistachio Shortbread. I couldn't be bothered rolling it into a sausage shape and refrigerating it, so I rolled it into balls and pressed on it with a fork.

Gee that is weird Suzanne. I wonder why they didn't invite partners?
