Chookie and Katj I don't envy you at all. It is just over 11 years since we shifted here. Previous to that we had two shifts for work to the bush and back. I hate it. It does make you clean things out though.

Overnight SD. This would have to be the easiest SD recipe.

Spanish Chicken and rice. Stove top. 1/2 recipe could be made in Varoma.

I had a few of Bill Granger's cookbooks out the other day and DH had a flick through and asked me if I would make this; Fresh apricot & cinnamon cake. I went out and bought the fresh apricots this morning and made it. So easy (mix with a wooden spoon), though I did make the crumble part in the TM and milled my sugar too. It turned out so nice.
The cinnamon flavour really comes out and the top and sides of the cake are lovely and crispy. Didn't need anything to go with but I added a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Your food looks lovely Chookie. I have never made SD bread.
JulieO your cake looks delicious. I could eat some of that right now.
Today I have made 4 blackberry pies, 1 apple pie & 1 raspberry pie with some left over pastry. I'm keeping the raspberry one and sending the others out to the family.

Judy, Katie's recipe is a little different to mine.
Mine is
400 g SD starter
500g bread flour,( lacked mix )!
250 water
4 minutes kneading
Tip into bread tin, cover with shower cap.
Let rise overnight.
Bake at 200 FF, 30 minutes, 10 minutes out of tin on oven shelf.

Julie that recipe doesn't seem to scrimp on apricots at all it looks delicious.
I've made some cauliflower soup, based on Chookie's Aparagus soup, Rosemary and Salt bread from Tenina, ( minus the rosemary and salt as I know DH wouldn't eat it) and a batch of my Mother's Little Cakes.
