I had big plans for yesterday as DH had gone to pre view a clearing sale in Toodyay and would be away all day. However as he and his friend were leaving another friend arrived. We had lovely chats for several hours and then most of the day was gone. I did manage to make a loaf of Classic Bread though.

Plans can go out the window very quickly cookie.

I've laid out all the ingredients for a biscuit recipe and will make them when I return home mid afternoon.  It's so darn humid here today but we have to get used to it and life must go on.

Lots of biscuits there Judy. Well done Sarah. Do your children like them?

I don't really like sultanas very much, and usually avoid hot cross buns because I end up picking out all of them. However, I love them, and don't feel the need to pull out the sultanas. My oldest daughter likes them, possibly not loves them. My youngest daughter has decided that she hates them because of the sultanas.

I LOVE hot cross buns, but alas cannot buy them here in the US or bake them at home as I can't buy mixed fruit peel. I tried baking them last year with just sultanas and some spices. It was okay, but not the best. If I had known I couldn't get fruit peel here I would have asked my Mum to bring some over when she visited.
