Thanks Chookie for the browning guide Recently I made rolls and did not use an egg wash, jus sprayed water on top and it took ages to brown, I had to use fan forced to make them brown on the top Any suggestion what I can do to keep it egg free?
Visited the Creswick Farmers Market. Produce mostly expensive but top quality or organic. Bought an expired pad that was used for growing mushrooms. $5 and excellent compost. The stall holder picked me one that was covered with growing mushrooms. Told me to cut them off, water well and it will grow another lot. I harvested 2 kilos of mushrooms of various sizes. Used a large on for lunch. Cut into 8 steaks and egged and used Panko bread crumbs mixed with Parmesan . Shallow fried. Delicious.
