Chookie, your grain loaf looks wonderful!!!!

Yesterday, made SD crumpets for the first time accompanied by Hollandaise sauce(off the chip), rocket and avocado.
Loved the crumpets, so easy to make but my sauce was curdled. Next time, need to try the solution suggested by someone on this forum to blitz it for few seconds after removing the butterfly. Hubby loved it, it was simple and yummy!

Suzanne, love jam fancies. Yours looks delicious. Could lick it off the page.
Thermilover, glad you enjoyed the SD crumpets.  Can't understand why more people don't make them.
I often have one with one poached egg for breakfast.

Suzanne, they look delicious. The crumpets are lovely aren't they Thermilover?

Thanks ladies, is there a recipe for normal crumpets on here?  I love them but the numbers on the packaging is a bit off putting so haven't been buying them.

Thank you Judy, can't wait to get back into the kitchen I have unfortunately had a rather serious allergic reaction to antibiotics so 3 weeks now and I think I'm on the mend, didn't leave the house poor kids on school holidays aswell but they were really good about it and the way I looked unlucky for me it was my face and hands that copped the brunt of it

Get well soon suzanne, that doesn't sound good at all.  Thank goodness the children were so understanding.

Thanks ladies a few rough weeks.
Thermilover the recipe was from a lady on the thermomumma fb page very easy and a really yummy biscuit, you can fill them with any jam
#Julythermomummachallenge
Cuppa tea and a biscuit?

Created by Louise Gleadell

225g unsalted butter, slightly softened
1 cup icing sugar (you can mill your own)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Shake of cinnamon (opt)
2.5 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
5 tbsp raspberry jam

Place butter and sugar into bowl. Blend Speed 3 for 20 sec. Scrape sides and blend again Speed 4 for 30 seconds until creamy.
Add egg. Blend Speed 4 for 30 sec.
Add vanilla and (optional) a shake of cinnamon. Blend Speed 4 for 20 sec.
Add flour and salt and mix on Speed 4 for 30 sec or as long as needed to come together. Scrape the sides in between.
Place some gladwrap on the bench and scrape dough out of bowl. Form into a disc shape and wrap. Refrigerate for 30-60 mins.
Heat oven to 180C or 160c fan forced. Line 2-3 trays with non stick paper.
Remove dough from gladwrap and roll out on a thermomat or benchtop dusted with flour. I like to dust the top and bottom as I roll, to avoid sticking. Roll out until approx 5mm thick.
To cut your shapes, use a round or frilly cookie cutter, then for half of the biscuits use a smaller cutter to remove the centre. I had a special cookie cutter set from Fox Run that punched the frilled edged bases, then I inserted a shape and it removed the middle as it punched the outside for the other half. Bake until slightly brown, but not too much. This may take 15-18 mins so keep an eye on them around this time. I swap tray positions half way through cooking.
Once cooked, remove and cool completely on racks.
Heat the jam in a small saucepan or microwave so that it is soft and mix together with a spoon. Let cool slightly then put a small amount, say a teaspoon, onto the base of each cookie. Top with one of the cookie tops and sandwich together.
You can dust with icing sugar before serving if you like.

Your 1 minute Grain Loaf looks amazing Chookie, is that recipe here on the forum.
Our bread making machine has been playing up the last few loaves I've made, so I will now start to make bread in the thermomix on a regular basis. So many lovely breads to make!!
Suzanne, your Jam Fancies look yummo! Hope you are back to normal soon.

Today I will be catching up on making a few things that are running low. Nut paste, curry powder, LSA. First I will have to go to my local Indian shop and re-stock on Coriander , fennel & cummin seeds.
