We had a fabulous lunch and the salads I made were enjoyed. No more Upholstery for me. I've run out of space to put things LOL The group will meet up occasionally to catch up with all our news.

A great looking one dish meal Chookie. 8)

What was the verdict on the lentil salad, CC?  Lentils are so good for you and I don't eat enough of them so I do intend to make this salad, but am also interested to hear what your ladies thought of it.

We are having a Birthday lunch for my sister tomorrow. Roast duck, ( have finally got this down  pat). TMX mashed potatoes, apple and cranberry sauce, Brussels sprouts, roasted carrots and parsnips. Followed by Portuguese custard tarts. I will make the custard today. I find it more convenient to cut the duck into 1/4 before it is baked. I will also make Cookies Vienna bread into 3 bread sticks. Use one and freeze 2.
I am also going to make RecipeTinEats soup that was posted today, and try making Sour Dough pizza bases.

Spelt, grain mix, wholemeal No Knead and a little white flour. 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar 3 teaspoons of yeast and 300 MLS of water + a little more to bring it to get her. Cooked in iron pot into cold oven. 50 minutes 200ff and 10 minutes uncovered. I am trying to use up the odd bits of flour.

This photo is for Judy, who likes to see how a loaf cuts. It also tastes very nice.

Ha ha Chookie, yes it always interests me to see a cut loaf.  It sounds and looks very tasty and a good way to use up bits and pieces of the different flours in your pantry.

The bread looks very tasty Chookie.

I made a Classic Loaf today, some Raspberry Cordial, a carrot cake and some Cheese and Chive biscuits.

The Lentil Salad was very nice Marina. Definitely add the dressing to the lentils when they are hot to give it more flavour.

I made Portuguese Tarts to take to a friends house to enjoy over a cup of coffee this morning. DH loves them LOL

Delicious food being made by everyone. 8)

Made Recipe tin eats Spanish vegetable soup. Very chunky with all the cabbage. For lunch on Saturday when friend is coming for lunch.

This is it before the parsley and lemon are added.

Should have added that I made the SD pizza base. Very good. Took 5 hours to rise , was very easy to roll out and was thin and crispy.
1/2 cup SD starter.
2. 1/2 cups bread flour
1/2 to 1 cup water depending on consistency of starter.
3 teaspoons dry yeast
1 teaspoon Italian herbs.
1 teaspoon of salt if NOT using a flour mix like Laucke.
Place all in TMX and knead for 4 minutes.
Place on oiled bowl to rise. Time will depend on warmth of room and how strong your starter is.
Note.
The crust , around the edges didn't brown very much so next time I would brush with egg wash or oil.
This makes 4 or 5 large pizzas.

Your photo of the soup looks just like the picture Chookie. I hope to make that either over the weekend or next week.
