Have made Cauli and carrot cream soup.  Cottage pie from leftover pork. Mashed potatoes to top pie.

Made Chinese Spring onion flat bread.   More soup. Cauli and celery this time. Our gardener brought a huge bunch of celery.

Looks good Chookie, do you freeze your celery for soup & casseroles?
I’m having a very lazy day today but I did stew some Granny Smith apples a friend gave me this week.

I’ve found that they reheat well if sprayed with a little water and then popped in a hot pan with lid.
I’m playing with a recipe. Balls of filling wrapped in pizza dough.  The filling is frozen and then wrapped in the dough.

I made some cornflake cookies yesterday.  My mum's old recipe.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I eventually got the sour dough to rise. It’s a dark rye loaf. I based it on Tenina’s new recipe but mucked around with it a bit. I also made a Zucchini and Carrot Loaf. It’s delicious.  I will post the recipe.

That sure is a dark loaf cookie, my Ukrainian neighbours used to make rye bread when I was a kid but this little Aussie wasn’t game enough to try it, we only ever ate white bread in those days.

I made the filling only for this cheesecake recipe https://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipes/fantastic-lemon-cheesecake-recipe/mcq248hf?nk=62aff3f5726f155862b307358de07e3d-1630654029. Poured the mousse-like mixture into 9 x 3/4 cup plus 2 x 1.5 cup ramekins for 2 of the neighbours. I’ve frozen a couple of mine, hopefully that will work.  It’s really nice, so light and the neighbours loved it.

I used quite a bit of dark rye flour for the loaf.
Tenina had a lemon cake made with SD discard. I never have discard so I fed up my starter to use. The cake had 100ml of lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of zest as well as lemon oil. I thought it would be very lemony but it isn’t.
