I feel for you over there cookie, our summer is warm but we’ve only had a few very hot days here which is nice. Hot weather does make you sleepy, enjoy your book before you nod off.

Nothing here. It was just over 42 here today. I put my recliner rocker under the air con vent and slept the afternoon away.

With Ral on low fibre diet until recovered, lm cooking myself a high fibre nut loaf. It is based on All bran. He is also having very small helpings. I also have high fibre burst. He has white bread toast and scrambled eggs or corn flakes and milk. Boring!

Chookie, that is good news that Ral is home from hospital.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

As long as Ral recovers well and is home I'm sure he doesn't mind what he's eating.
I'm making some meat pies in the pie maker from the leftovers of the brisket I cooked. I think there is enough meat for a great number of pies.

The All Bran loaf is lovely. It is based on that very old recipe that is steamed in tins.  I have adapted it and baked it in a large bread tin with lid.

An easy, delicious recipe Chookie - passed on from my Mum to me but I don’t think my girls would be interested. I might just add it to a recipe book I’m gradually putting together for my GD though.

Thanks for the link to that recipe, Cookie, I am almost tempted, but I think I must behave.

This weekend it is eggplant meatballs with tomato sauce, roast veg frittata and a one pan pasta dish.
