I have some Orange and Cranberry fruit buns rising. Everyone enjoyed them at Easter so I’m making another batch. Last night we watched Soreen (?) Malt loaves being made in UK. They looked interesting so I’m trying to make one. They used yeast but I haven’t. I will see what happens.

I tried a tuna/sweet potato-zucchini patty recipe and creamed parsnips with orange zest - no failure in the cooking but neither suitable for me to be able to eat.  I made fish with cheese sauce and a zucchini/carrot timbale for tea last night which went down well.

Just trying to make my meals more interesting Marina, not having too much success but the zucchini/carrot timbales are easy side dish to eat and they freeze well so I’ll make another batch of them.

I'm making a malt loaf this afternoon. I soaked the fruit in tea yesterday.
Judy it must be horrid not being able to eat somethings. Is it the texture or maybe the slipability?

I hadn't thought of the slipability factor, Judy.  I must give that some thought because a great deal of the meals I make are fairly slippy - or at least moist / fairly wet.  If I get any inspiration I will let you know.

Thanks Marina, I always enjoy seeing what you cook and have often googled a recipe of that description seeing as I mainly eat veggie based meals now. I did velvet a slice of chicken fillet recently and was able to get that down and I’ll try a slice of beef next for one of Nagi’s Asian dishes. It just takes time to get around to things I want to try as my freezer always seems to be full. My veggies will have to be cooked longer than hers though.

Easy quince jelly ! Used 6 small quinces at a slow boil for 3 hours . Slotted spoon to remove quince and drizzle Liquid over the rest into a couple of jars . Smells so good . Now DH has a very Luxurious desert and I have delicious quince jelly .

So good to see what everyone is cooking. I’ve made a lot of SD crumpets. So easy in the pie maker. Can do lots of other jobs while they are cooking. 4 cups of SD makes between 12 and 16 , depending on thickness.
Neighbour dropped off some ready cook small meals. Greatly appreciated.

Friend dropped off some fresh limes yesterday. I forced myself to make some Marmalade. Really so easy in TMX.
