I made some biscuits today. The recipe was from Recipe Community.

It’s amazing how many recipes we find that come from someone’s Nana isn’t it?

My Nana was an amazing pastry cook. My neighbours Nana had some basic but good recipes and lived to over 100. She must have done something right.
Portuguese tarts and bread rolls.
Cooked corned beef last night as it’s going to be hot for next few days.
Visitors coming over next week , mostly for lunch as many coming a fair distance.
Bought a $5 Pav. Going to cut in to rings and serve with fresh fruit and cream.

Cookie, those biscuits look yum. I love anything with malt in it, I will even eat it out of the tin.

Shortcuts are great, Chookie. I often buy mini pavs and crunch them up to make Eton Mess - works a treat!!

I agree Mab, malt is yummy. As kids we were sometimes allowed to have a frappe in town. They were 10d and had Icecream and flavouring and a wafer biscuit. For another Penny you could get malted milk powder. It was so yummy mixed with the flavouring. So exciting for a kid in those days.

Ahh the memories Cookie
I marinated and cooked some chicken drumsticks before it became too hot. Then made Cookie's malt biscuits, they are just as yummy as I thought they would be.

I'm glad you liked them Mab., I've made a loaf of bread using the local flour and also made some mozzarella cheese. It was fiddly but fun. I followed a you tube of Collette Mitegra.

I made some Turkish Bread rolls. The last should be coming out of the oven soon. I used a recipe from Recipe Community that had good reviews. I made 6 smaller rolls.
