I haven’t tried any cookie.  The thing is that I’m not hungry between meals so I’m not looking for those types of food anyway. I have a substantial smoothie breakfast, a coffee at lunchtime and a small meal for tea. Sometimes I have a dessert for tea because that’s what I feel like.

Judy, I’ll keep the anti flour in mind when looking at recipes for you. Is bread out altogether or can you eat it if covered in say, curry mince?

I can eat in a steamed B & B pudding Chookie with just a few pieces of bread, nowhere near the amount any recipe calls for. I guess I could eat pieces in soup too but I don’t bother. I couldn’t eat curry mince, specialist told me I wouldn’t be able to eat anything spicy - he was right with everything he told me in that regard. I would drive you crazy trying to feed me LOL.

No Judy, it wouldn’t drive me mad. I would see it as a challenge.  Today I challenged myself to make copy of KFC cold slaw. Has to soak for at least 2 hours before used. Don’t think the dressing is quite sweet enough. It was a challenge trying to ‘ grate ‘ the cabbage in the TMX.

Chookie, I am sure I have seen a food processor type slicer advertised that works in TMXs for the likes of coleslaw, etc.  Have you tried using a vegetable peeler - a bit tedious I should imagine, though.

When I can get one I’m going to buy the new grater/cutter for the thermomix. My consultant said my name is on her list.
My Classic bread has been a disaster for several weeks. I had to refresh my starter so maybe it isn’t strong enough yet. It rises beautifully in the bowl, but when I put it into the tin it rises a bit and stops. I will work it out eventually.
Today I made a simple sandwich loaf from Nigella. It is her version of Dan Lepard’s Sour Cream loaf.

Yes, the texture wasn’t right. I think I was getting there at the end but ran out of cabbage. 1 second, speed 5. 3 cm chunks of cabbage. The taste was quite good for the dressing. It was a mix of sugar, yoghurt, milk , Mayo and lemon juice.
Marina, think I have seen that also.  I added a bit shaved on the mandolin. The recipe I used as a guide, said aim for rice size bits of cabbage.
The family don’t eat onion but can tolerate onion tops, so added these with a little carrot.

Very busy everyone, I believe the TMX cutter may be either very fine grating or thick same with the slicing . Some people are happy others not , but mostly consultants have them do not much negative options yet .

Today I made a Mozzarella and Garlic loaf from Not Nigella. When I first checked the recipe it had only one rise. I later checked the comments and found someone had queried it and it has 2 rises. I was disappointed that the error hadn’t been corrected in the recipe.

I recognise the front right one Chookie, made it years ago and loved it.

Cookie that really annoys me too, the original poster should always read the responses and change their recipes if someone has picked up a mistake.  I always read the comments before trying a new recipe and make notes on my print out, some people have great alternative ideas.

True Judy. I like her recipes but this is the second time I’ve had this happen. I must remember to read the comments first. I like her recipes.
