That’s great Marina, something special every now and then no doubt.

I made half quantity of this Mushroom Pate recipe https://culinaryginger.com/mushroom-pate/ but it wasn’t as tasty as the liver pate I tried at DD’s place recently. These tubs will be frozen and added to soup at some stage down the track.

Made some shortbread biscuits. Cardamom flavoured and rolled in crushed pistachios nuts. Ok but not as nice base as the AWW recipe.  This recipe was from Dish magazine.

I made a Weetbix slice today. It’s more cake like that biscuit. Very nice and easy. You soak the weetbix, dried fruit and sugar in hot tea. When it cools you add an egg and SR flour. I will put the recipe up.

I’ve been eating Carmen’s Granola for breakfast. Silly me as my recipe is much nicer. I have all the ingredients so will make some today.
Also making multigrain bread rolls, and custard for Portuguese tarts which I will make tomorrow.

I decided to go on a muesli / granola breakfast recently and purchased a commercial mix ... YUCK!!! It was horrible.  I can't remember what brand it was but it was enough to put me off for a while.  Alyce Alexandra recently posted a granola mix that looks good so I might try that, unless one of you ladies have a good recipe I could try???

A friend recently gave me one KAtie. So cute and useful.

No cooking here, too hot and no air con. Marina I think you could put anything you enjoy in your granola. Seeds, oats, nuts, dried fruit etc. do you like Bircher Muesli?

I don't know that I have ever tried Bircher Muesli, Cookie.  I will check it out.  Mind you, on thinking about it, there is always CADA, which is really nice and DH has that most days, so maybe I will just acquire some of his!

Marina, cut down the work and use DH.
My Granola is nice but a bit of work. Makes a lot. I’m making half recipe.

I have a lasagne partly made.  Some for the freezer, some for GS and some for dinner tonight.

Was given a large bag of cherry plums. Yesterday made plum paste and started mix for plum vinegar. Today plum and raspberry jam. Going away tomorrow so need to get moving.

Yesterday I made some more Worcestershire Sauce as we were almost out.

Today i tried a recipe from Cookidoo called Thermomix Three Veg Mac & Cheese.  I started it in the tmx but ended up making it on the stove as it kept boiling over and making a mess.  I think it must be a tm6 recipe and I have a tm31 so my bowl must be smaller.   DH liked it, I thought it was ok, DS is yet to try it.

Over the years I have tried many different mac and cheese recipes but, although there are quite a few that I have liked, none have ever quite 'hit the spot'.  I will continue my quest ...
