I made plum paste in TMX before short holiday to beach. I left the makings of plum vinegar to soak while away, so will finish off today. Tomorrow, plum and raspberry jam.
Making KFC for lunch.

I popped up to my Italian shop again and bought a heap of soggy tomatoes so I made passata in the thermomix.

Yesterday I needed bread, so I went to the local Bakers’ Delight. I bought a rye loaf, a SD loaf (small and over $7) and a high fibre loaf. Not cheap. The rye loaf lacks’guts.’ It’s all soft and airy, almost like fatty floss and no taste.  The SD s a bit re solid and has a slightly sour taste.  DD said it’s hard.  I haven’t tried the high fibre loaf and haven’t received any comments yet.
It’s many years since I bought any bread.

Lemon and nectarine sorbet , Sabrina’s honey bush bars ( nice but will make more moist next time . Hidden veg sausage rolls , all cookidoo recipes . For lunch I cooked chicken schnitzel and added them to rolls with soba noodle salad avocado and cranberry sauce . Hopefully DS is full tonight.  Last night DS made waffles using a recipe from cookidoo .

Cookie, Bakers Delight has the highest amount of preservatives of any commercial bread. I can’t eat it as it upsets me. We are spoiled if we make our own bread. We can make any type we fancy and it has no nasty additives.
I’m still making plum jam. From the large bag of plums I have made, plum paste, plum vinegar, plum and raspberry jam, plum and strawberry jam and today, plum and blueberry jam.
Making small round bread rolls to fill with curry mince . 15 rolls from No Fuss recipe. Baked in muffin tins and crumb scooped out and filled with curry mince and reheated in AF. A little crunchy delight.

The birds have eaten all my plums , really like the blood plums but they were unripe small and the birds ate them . Now they are on to the unripe apples and pears . The trees are too tall to net . This year I’m not chasing them with a hose .

Chookie that is an interesting fact about Bakers’ Delight bread. Our new roof top air con is being put in at the moment. The split system ones go in in Feb, so we can choose which we want to use.
At least I can cook again.

Definitely over the heat Chookie. We’ve had a couple of lovely days under 30°.
I made a Classic loaf today. I will eat all the Bakers’Delight bits.

Cookie, great news about the A/Con. good cooking!
Friend gave me some Crab Apples. Completely lacking in flavour. I’ve added fresh frozen Cranberries to them and will make jelly.
I gave several small jars of jam  to Book Club coordinator to be given as Birthday gifts to members. The first was given on Monday. It caused quite a lot of interest. It was a mixed Citrus marmalade.

I had made a tray bake coffee cake the other day , it’s light and fluffy. Never had time to ice it .
