Have just taken some of JulieO's Apricot Slice out of the oven.  The custard will be made later. It looks lovely and the raw mix was nice.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

JulieO - right I don't have a sweet tooth but you are making me want fattening things I don't normally even like!! Made a second batch of your choc icecream tonight and have printed off the apricot slice recipe. And those buns look lovely!
Really I'd not ever think of eating a slice or sweet bread things, I'm much more a savoury person!
You are a very bad influence, lol.

Oh wow, it feels good to be back in the kitchen!!

Today I've made/making - a very successful pullman loaf - its just cooling now but piccies really ought to follow.  I'm also making a bannock which has several different meanings but my recipe is for a yeasted bread with sultanas in it.  DS2 doesn't like sultanas so today I'm substituting chocolate chips.  This has prompted the children to run around the house saying that mummy has invented chocolate chip bread!

I'm also doing the pumpkin and corn soup but substituting butternut squash.  Dinner is roast beef, oh better do some yorkshires ..., with the veggies steamed in the varoma!

quick question about the tomato ketchup....what did you put it in? did you sterilize the bottle/container....does it keep outside the fridge?

 ???

I normally pour half in a sterlised jar and the other half in a squeezy bottle to use straight away.  I store both in the fridge - habit I think.  :)
