I store the whole batch in a large decor bpa free squeezie bottle that I wash and put a little boiled water in and swish around the pour out before filling it

Yesterday was 2 sweet sour dough loaves and one normal and for dinner we had a salmon/macaroni thing.

thanks guys....we don't eat tomato sauce as a rule, but if it tastes better than that horrible stuff you buy in the supermarket, maybe we will start ! :)

Be interested to get the recipe for your bannock Nik.

I will try and post the recipe later on today.  Its a BBC Good Food magazine recipe but I've done it twice now and I'm not desperately happy with it.  It calls for 500g flour and 450g of sultanas and I just don't think that the bread can hold that many sultanas!

Perhaps if I post the recipe others will be able to tweak and advise  ;D

It does sound rather a lot Nik, I certainly wouldn't put that many in myself - no-one would eat it in this house.

Tonight we had Curried Minced Pork Lettuce Wraps - using another lot of my leftover pork roast.  They were nice so I will post the recipe.  Also had success with Roses' Xmas Scrolls this morning.

Re tomato sauce-I've just frozen it into 6 small containers and plan to defrost one each time we have a 'sauce' meal. I don't have preserving jars as yet so hope it works this way.

Today I made a banana loaf, chocolate slab cake, curried pumpkin and lentil soup, sweet potato mash and chicken breasts in tomato and mushroom sauce.  So easy peasy with TM.  ;D

Sonan, I was going to ask about your taco seasoning too!  Something in the commercial stuff doesn't agree with my husband, but I haven't really looked into it.  If I can make a version myself, I'll be thrilled!

I made my own taco seasoning up in a bottle that we get  5 or so meals out of before i have to make it up again. Garlic powder, onion powder, Chilil flakes, dried oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, cornflour.  ;)

You can make it to your family's taste - adjust the spicy to hot or mild but this is my basic measures:
1tsp Garlic powder, 1tsponion powder, 2tsp Chilil flakes, 1tsp dried oregano, 2 tsp paprika, 3 tsp cumin, 4tsp salt, 2tsp black pepper, 5tsp cornflour. (my tsp measures are heaped)  Then when you go to cook 500g mince add 1tbsp or 2 and 1 cup of water. Trail and error - see how you go. ;)

We are having "Beautiful Home-Made Crab Cakes with a Hot Blackened Salsa" from Jamie Oliver's Website.  I just have to convert the recipe to Thermomix before 6pm tonight :)....otherwise it's going to be done the old fashioned way.  I made yoghurt berry muffins for breakfast, but I must admit Tom's participation was limited to turning the sugar into caster sugar.

made up some laundry powder, isi's rolls (with a leftover chookies KFC piece of chicken to put in one for lunch), and marinating some beef in marinade made in the TM for dinner tonight, to enjoy with some steamed vegetables and mash. Trying to be good and not have dessert, but the thought of QC's Choc Banana Nut icecream is lurking in the back of my mind  ;D
