Of course you made the bread Uni, it didn't come out of the packet of flour looking like that ;D  Did he/she think you ground the flour too perhaps?

Today I made Chicken and vegie soup, harissa paste from the 2012 calendar and beetroot jam.

I have no idea Uni  :D :D :D :D  I just thought I'd try it whilst beetroot was so cheap - $3.99 a bunch.

Thought I had better try it on something for you so just had it on a cracker with a piece of cheese and it was very nice.  It is quite sweet (325g sugar) so it really does taste like a jam.  Some of the things I have read for its use are - on cold meat sandwiches, on toast or scones, drizzled over a salad, served with blue cheese and someone even made a potato chip sandwich using sour cream & onion chips with beetroot jam.

Today I have made cauliflower cheese, potato and salmon patties and for dessert DroverJess's rhubarb crumble. I substituted half the rhubarb for apple. It is in the oven now. I am looking forward to tasting it
