I guess the scoop would give you nice even size biscuits. But if it's only 1 1/2 tsps wouldn't they be too small?

That's not too bad then. I use a normal size ice cream scoop for making burgers to get an even size. Would be handy to have different size ones though.

They're great..I have them in all sizes, so handy!

Well, chocolate cake + pink icing = NIGHTMARE!

Completely not the what I had in my head, but I had no choice, so floral explosion  it was :P
My house was so cold yesterday, so the buttercream was dragging so much, I had chocolate crumbs all in the icing  :-))
I had to keep dipping my palette knife in hot water to spread it and make it look even.  It took way too long, the corners kept showing through, and I was so over it!
With no time left, I piped out within 5 minutes and headed out the door.....way more flowers than anticipated, but icing is a god send for covering up  ;)
.........EAT CAKE!

Maddy it looks lovely and I'm sure she was thrilled with it - a pity you were not left to do your own thing though, it would have been so much easier for you if you were.  Were there enough people there to eat all that cake?  Who would ever have thought you could get a lovely cake like that for just $50  ;) :D :o :-))

Didn't you know that cake decorating is the art of camouflage ! LOL
Seriously though, that's a lovely cake. I sympathise with you covering a choc cake with pink icing, especially all those fiddly bits. I hate icing numbers that have cut out bits in the middle - like 4,s and 0's.
I hope she appreciated it, and hope you enjoyed the party.

Maddy you did a wonderful job with an appalling brief. She obviously has no style or taste but the cake is beautiful none the less.
