Cooking for your friend was the best therapy for you Hally, it kept you busy enough to concentrate at the job in hand and knowing you are doing something to help her in this time of need is all you can do. She will need much support now and after the operation and it's friends like you who she will be relying on.  I know myself how news of this sort is life shattering but we have to be strong for our friends who themselves are going through a nightmare of their own.  :-* :-*

Thank you

JD I was really doing well until I finished cooking, then I sat on the sofa & burst into tears.

Have told her, tell her dh to return the containers & I will keep refilling them for her & the family.

Tears are fine Hally, we love people, we cry when something is not right in their lives.

Wonderful that she  has a friend in you. She may need a wee bit of physical help when she gets home.  I am a 14 year survivor. There is every reason to believe the mastectomy will be then end of it. Let's up so.

Hally that's a lovely thing you are doing for your friend and her family.  Just a thought - what about disposable foil containers for the food, that way they dont have to worry about washing and returning them?
