Nice to see you coming good JulieO - have certainly missed you and your lovely photos.  Bikkies look nice.

Mama bel - I just love the rice pudding recipe, beats that in the can or one made on the stove-top. Are you going to use your dulce de leche in a brownie recipe, how good does that sound.  Thanks for finding that one.

Today was a test-kitchen day - all new stuff. Spanish ham croquetas, sauteed spinach and tomatoes, pureed parsnip - all reviews under the respective recipes.

Well I'm in love with my TMX all over again tonight!

We go to church Sunday nights - get home around 7 so it's always an easy tea to get the kids in bed not too late.  So today I made TMX'ers Chicken Croquettes ready to cook when we got home.  So got home frieds the croquettes and while they were cooking made coleslaw.  Gave that to the kidlets. And they ate it all!  YAY.  Yummy and so healthy for them.  No more bought nuggets for us, not that we did much.  But I have a tray in the freezer now, and will definitely make more.  They'd be a good party food.

Then  I made mushroom, spinach and camembert risotto for us.  Very very nice.  Finished our meal with rewhizzed vanilla and salted caramel maple icecream.  YUM

Narelle, that risotto sounds yum.  Do you just put the spinach & camembert in at the end???

Had such a busy weekend really haven't used the TMX at all but this week have done a weekly plan for once & gone out & done all the shopping.............a novel experience for me!!

For the last day of school holidays we made candles pressies for family who visited on weekend. Kids enjoyed it. We heated the soy wax in TMX (soy wax only needs to be heated to 60oC.) Added colour and fragrance. We made chocolate, coffee, juniper breeze and apple candles, tealights and melts (for oil burner). I got my supplies from a candle party I went to:

I put them in when I put it in the thermoserve, however it was a bit long for the camembert.  I really wanted to use fetta but had none, the camembert melted away but i really wanted chunks.  was nice though

What a great idea for kids/grandkids to do the candles. Will pass that on to some grandparents who have TMXes.

Phew! Wore me out just reading that!!  I'd rather have done what you did than been at work - just being pathetic because I haven't been "out to work" for so long!!!

Just steaming vegies to go with the Spicy Asian Chicken in garlic sauce.  Report back later..........

You can't keep up with this forum AND get so much cooking done Karen - something has to give.  Well done, have a great holiday.

Your "TODAY" is our "TOMORROW" - so... that means ... I can only tell you what I cooked... 'yesterday'.

Does that make sense? You Aussies are so far ahead of us... you are cooking tomorrow's meals today... You are 18 hours ahead of my town by the clock, and light-years ahead in "Bimby Time". We in Canada know precious-little, and you know so much about Thermomix. We sit at your feet and learn from this forum....

Okay, to answer the question: Today I mixed left-over rice together with fresh tomatoes from the garden. Threw it all in the Bimby together with oil, garlic, a Tbsp of chicken stock, a handful of tired old mushrooms, Tbsp of parmesan, fresh basil, and salt. Yummy left-over lunch! ( I did not take a photo because the resulting 'medley' was an ugly brown-grey colour and not photogenic at all!  :( )

And by the way, I am keeping an online "Bimby Kitchen Diary" that tells everyone what I cook each day. Yes, it is revealing and somewhat embarrassing,  :-[ but I am hoping it will serve to educated people in Canada to understand that Thermomix has many uses, and that unlike other appliances, Thermomix does not sit idle. Not in my kitchen! (well - not usually, but there have been a few 'empty' days in the Bimby Diary...)

Here's the address for the Bimby Kitchen Diary, in case anyone is interested: http://SuperKitchenMachine.com/2009/1398/thermomix-cooking-diary.html

bye for now,
from " TMB "
