Please advice needed.
Halloween, lol
I bought 4 cookie cutters & tried to make puffs.
They taste great but the detail isnt good & too much filling. I used puff pastry, should I have used shortcrust.

Any ideas to make them better

Oh dear Hally, they look a bit deformed lol ;D

I had a similar problem recently with my cookies. They just seem to bulge :o

I think you should try the shortcrust, it won't puff as much as puff ;)

Yes I will try with shortcrust. I used pizza sauce & too much cheese.

Will have to buy pastry as I cant roll atm. Food budget is going to be over :(

Want to make lots of different things for party & also for trick or treaters :)

H :)

Another 15 ltrs of raw milk this morning - guess its another day for ricotta. Love making ricotta, it tastes so much better than the bought stuff.

SueJen, nothing  better than home made ricotta.

Made these again with shoetcrust pastry & less filling.
Still cant see the outlines of the cookie cutter.
May have to make crackers for the dips instead with the cutters.

They're definitely better than the last ones Hally. I think they're very cute ;)

Are crackers going to be harder for you to make? :-\

Amy, now trying pies, going to try & do a scary face, wont give up, want to do nice halloween stuff. The short crust didnt taste as good as the puff, less filling too.

Good luck Hally, I'm glad you're not giving up :D
I don't suppose you could leave a wider border around the outside of the pies so you could trim around the design and neaten it up?
