DD made mini marble cakes today. It was after I had said I wanted a rainbow cake for my birthday.

Cookie, very clever DD. Very spoilt Mum.
Today, saved 2 1/2 bananas by making DJ's basic banana cake. While this was in the oven, baked chicken breast in a sauce of dried apricots, currents and wine. Found the sauce in the freezer.

Made DJ's Banana cake long so the slices would not be so large. Ha.

That banana cake looks great.
I made Mini Mrs Woo's banana cakes a few days ago. Yummy..
Today I have been making more of Chocolate Covered Katie's "Dough Babies"
These have been a major hit in this household <3
Today I made Peanut Butter Dough Babies from here.
http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/08/24/peanut-butter-cookie-dough-cookies/
Mine are a bit oilier than I had expected after only making Walnut or Cashew mixes with a date base until now.
And I think these are probably a bit less healthy
But have received a double thumbs up from both DH and DGS
Recipe couldn't be easier
Peanut Butter Dough Babies, (Adapted from Chocolate Covered Katie :
https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/830411_10151465900188291_2013252914_o.jpg
)
200g Sultanas
250 g Crunchy Peanut Butter. (try to get with no added sugar or oil)
1/2 tsp Pure vanilla essence.
20g Maca Powder (optional) but gives a nice smooth flavour
80g Dark unsweetened Choc Chips
80g Unsalted Peanuts
Put first 4 ingredients into bowl.
Speed 4 for 1 minute
Add Choc Chips and Peanuts
Speed 5 for 10 seconds ( more or less depending on how chunky you prefer the 'bits')
Allow to sit for about 5 minutes before rolling into balls.
I made 24 from this recipe.

Just whipped up another batch of Dough babies. I like to have these on hand to serve with coffee for visitors.
This time ChocFudge......
Inspiration from Chocolate Covered Katie
http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2009/10/13/make-these-now/
Chocolate Fudge Dough Babies
They have no cane sugar, no dairy, no egg. No Bake.
Ingredients:
200 g pitted Dates, Try to get nice soft juicy dates
200 g Cashews
1 tsp Pure Vanilla
35 -> 40g Cacao powder
20 g Maca Powder (optional, I find it gives a smoother flavour)
Optional extras
20 g Cacao nibs
20 g Dark, unsweetened Choc Chips
Orange Essence
Mint
Put all of the main ingredients into jug and blend on Speed 6 for at least 1 minute.
Check the mixture to see if it is starting to come together.
I find I sometimes need to add up to 1/2 teaspoon of macadamia oil if the dates or cashews are dryer than normal.
If needed blend another 30 seconds on Speed 5
Add your chosen "Extras" and blend on speed 5->6 for 10 seconds
Tip the mixture into a plastic bag and press it all together to form a lump similar to plasticene
Roll pieces into balls with your hands.
This size mix gives 24 nice bite-size balls.
WARNING... They are very very rich.
