You deserve a medal maddy. Wonder how many kids took a packet of potato chips etc  :-)) I'm sure they will remember them long after they have been eaten

I've made 4 dips today - Cookies beetroot, parmesan and cashews, Roasted red capsicum and the Smoked Salmon Dip and the Date Dip CP has on her favourites list.  All 1/2 quantities except the smoked salmon, only did 1/4 of that one.

Have decorated the carrot cakes I made yesterday, dried out the sliced canapé loaves, dipped the madeleines in chocolate, thawed the lamingtons and made some chicken nuggets.

That's it for today, sandwiches in the morning then our birthday afternoon tea party is ready to go.  SIL is bringing her famous cream puffs.

They are so gorgeous Maddy. Love the one 3rd from left in 4th row. He looks like he just did a sneaky pop off! :D

I too have used the uk newsletter buttercream recently. It's quick and pipes well. I think it deserves its own thread.

I love the pandas Maddy, you are amazing.... The expressions.... Well lots of laughing looking at the pics at this end!  Well done!!!! You are a decorating superstar.

Big sponge in oven as going racing with a large group on Sunday. Will freeze and slice into 4 layers then fill with cream cheese frosting and fresh strawbs as we leave on Sunday morning. Will use some of Tenina's strawb jam made by CC.
I used Martha Stewart's yellow butter cake and ken the Kenwood to mix it.

A sponge cut into 4 layers  :o :o - I wish DJ  :-))  I envy people who make sponges that high, an old neighbour when I was a kid was able to make them that high too and even though she wrote out the recipe and all the hints for success, I still could get no more than 3 layers out of her recipe.  Before using her recipe it was only 2 though so at least it was an improvement. Can't remember the last time I made a sponge but there is nothing like a good home made one for taste compared to the bought ones.
