I just washed and cooked sushi rice with kombu in the TM, and steamed peas on the lid! :-)

Did you cook it in the base or the basket?  Ta - something I have been meaning to write up.  I washed it on reverse in teh base and then into the basket to steam.

I washed it in the basket for 1 minute at around speed 5, then discarded the water and cooked it in the basket pretty much like normal rice (Varoma, speed 3-4, until done ~18 minutes).

I bought a huge box of tomatoes cheap today so have been making cooked tomato puree.  But now I've run out of jars, and I've barely started on the box.  Any ideas how else to store?

Also made strawberry coulis for flavouring homemade yoghurt.  Yesterday I made mayonnaise and coleslaw for the first time. Delicious and simple.  And peach jam the day before that - fantastic.

You could make up batches of Trudy's pizza sauce and freeze them in ziplock bags.  Perhaps also pasta sauce in ziplocks??  I chop my sauce tomatoes up (roughly with skin left on) and freeze them in 1kg bags ready to be made into sauce later in the year.  I usually do about 15x1kg bags.  I like my sauce made fresh (a couple of bottles at a time). Hope this helps a little.  :)

Today I made Lemonade and Orange & carrot juice from the EDC, cooked a chicken with the beer can stuck you know where in the weber along with potatoes, carrots and pumpkin, used the TMX to steam some cauli & broccoli, make a cheese sauce and then a batch of gravy to complete the meal .  The chicken had fantastic flavours - I put fresh rosemary, oregano, sage and bay leaves into the 1/2 filled can of beer. Thanks Gretchen for reminding me of this recipe recently. It went down a treat.

How about sun-drying them? Or in a low oven if the weather's not hot enough... :)

Tonight we're going to have Brazen's chicken in cheese sauce thingie (the one pot meal using varoma as well).  Sorry Brazen, can't remember the exact name of it  ;D

Does anyone know if this is a recipe off Brazen's blog or perhaps is it Baf's chicken dish from the forum??  I love one-pot meals and was wondering if there was a new one floating about that I didn't know about.  :)

I made ILB's Rhubarb cake yesterday. Ooh it so so nice, very moist. Lovely recipe. I swapped the sour cream for natural yoghurt.
DH took a piece over to the oldies who gave us the rhubarb and they're coming over to see the TMX this afternoon. I'll probably make them a sorbet as it's warm today and then put on some choclate custard as I want to freeze some to make icecream.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Easy day today with leftovers but I made a jar of my beetroot spread and a batch of caramelised onions (my first effort in the TMX but not my last).
