Apart from preparing for tomorrow I need to put my thinking cap on in a hurry.

Next door neighbour arrived last night with a small gift and I was unprepared.  It's a quiet neighbourhood and we have not had a lot of contact with anyone since moving in here.

Great cooking everyone. Last night I managed to finally finished the mince pies, steam the second pudding and make a double batch of rocky road. When I get home today I'll be making smoked chicken pate, maybe some spice pear and apply paste and a batch of vanilla ice cream to churn in the morning.

I decided to make JulieO's fruit mince tarts so gave some of those to the next door neighbour.  I took them to her straight from the oven and they did smell nice.

I've prepared all the veg for tomorrow, also the cheese sauce for the cauliflower and a batch of breadcrumbs.

Made a trifle.

Put the cream on the chocolate icecream cake and will do the santas tomorrow morning.

Made the fruit mince tarts as above, and have just taken out a batch of Uni's bread rolls in under 1 hour.  They smell lovely.  These are to take out to the family for a bbq tonight as it is DIL birthday.

Thanks Michele but in no way professional Lily enjoyed herself though.
I made the mistake of putting a few presents under the tree and now the children won't stop asking just one mum pleeaasseee!
