CP if your burn isn't sore it could be a deep burn.

OK, that may explain why it doesn't hurt cos I was surprised that its gone through a few layers and there's an open wound. Normally when I've burnt myself there is a blister and it hurts like crazy. I was told "no brain, no pain" so I was fine with it.
I'll see if I can rustle up some Betadine. thanks everyone  :-* :-* :-* :-*

Hope you are ok CP, burns are horrid.
DD scalded herself on her leg with almost boiling kettle last year. She rang me after ten minutes and an ice pack. I yelled at her to get under the shower. And told her to stay there. Actually she had to sit on the bath edge and bale cold water with a jug as the shower didn't work  I was 100 minutes away by car.
Only when I got there did she stop pouring cold water, and wrap in cling film and take to hospital.
She had to have almost daily burn dressings for first week then alternate days for next week and she has escaped without scarring. The hospital said they wished everyone knew about continuous cold water until the pain and heat is gone.

Marmalade is made, batch 1 anyway.

Thank you wonder, it'd be lovely to have you to stay too. Aiming for mid to late may,  but will know better by mid march.

Caramel shakes how divine and dangerous to my waistline.

Made lentil and vEg soup for lunch today. Too busy with other things to cook anything else except marmalade.

I just followed the edc milkshake recipe doubling the ice and ice cream and added caramel sauce that I had left over from my sticky date puddings, if we had gone to the dome for morning tea it would of easily cost us $50 thank goodness for the tmx and since all was made by me knew exactly what they were having
Oh yum, thanx.  ;D
now I know what to do with that caramel sauce I have in the freezer!
:D

How many oranges did you buy DJ? A friend sometimes freezes oranges whole and makes more marmalade later in the year.

4.5 kg, yes thx my mum  also suggested I freeze them.
See how it goes. May be easier to do it now. Need more jars though.

This was mid cut, mid colour.

Going to do a finer paler one next and a mixed fruit one too, and fancy entering the marmalade competition in Cumbria. Entries must be in by 13 feb. Need one to go with sausages too in the B and B category google the marmalade awards at Dalmain house....

The marmalade looks great DJ and CC. I don't touch it but have made the recipe on here that has carrot it in and my marmalade loving Dad couldn't get enough of it - I didn't tell him it had carrot it in it  ;)

Yes both lots of marmalade look great.  Will try this recipe in the cooler months when Seville oranges are in season.  :)

Heaps of marmalade there girls - that would last me a lifetime  ;D

DJ, have you seen Chookie's carrot & lemon marmalade that Wonder alluded to? I've made it with oranges instead of lemons and for a non-loving marmalade person, I do like this one.
