Yum I love the custard slice...have made it twice in the last week or so.

Still going with the plums.
Yesterday I made plum jam, plum and apple jam (saw recipe for plum and pear but no pears), plum vodka, Chinese plum sauce and plum crumble (from the steamed plums for the vodka).
Today so far have done two more batches of the sauce and a batch of jam, with another batch of jam cooking now....maybe a third of the way through the pile.
Oh and in between made banana pikelets and a feta tart.

Great going there Jo.  My DD1 has a plum tree and doesn't know what to do with them all at fruiting time.  Without a TMX it's not as easy to get through loads of fruit like this.    Time is also a problem for her.

I'm cooking my first meal for the week - individual seafood pies and steaming vegies - will take 2 around to Mum for her weekend meals.

Having 2 tms go at once is super quick. Made ricotta, pasta, edc white sauce. Then made a big lasagna & a spinach & ricotta canneloni. Cant beleive how quick it all was. :)

Kitchen clean up, cuppa, then some loaves of bread :)

And Hally's been v busy too I see  ;D

Have made a batch of roasted tomato & red wine pasta sauce to use tomorrow in Tenina's pizza scrolls (KIS) and for the freezer, also Tenina's honey mustard dressing (KIS) to drizzle over a salad the family will be having with crumbed whiting tonight.  Was planning on making Nutella but that can wait until tomorrow.  I really miss my second bowl, must replace it soon I think.  :P

Yum everyone. Bzb you're weekend sounds like lots of fun!
I'm cooking up for lunches. Parmesan and sweet chilli crackers and will probably do some paprika and garlic roasted chickpeas later this afternoon.

Had a break from the plums and made a carrot cake - we had it recently at a birthday party and dh asked for the recipe.  I semi-converted it, but it was a massive batch, really too big (had to mix last things in by hand) so next time will halve it and post once I have it perfected. I am not a big carrot cake fan and I liked it. DH loves all carrot cakes but he was very impressed too (not often he seeks someone out to beg a recipe!)

Made the bases for my strawberry hazelnut gateau, ready to finish tomorrow. Then finally got around to Tenina's chicken pate. I think I'm really going to like this pate, cos when I've made pate with livers it's made me want to gag. We're having a little barbie and going to cook some goat and lamb in the woodfire oven tomorrow.

If I leave now can I come for the BBQ.  I so love goat and I have no one to cook it for.

The only cooking here today was the pizza bases and a cream sauce for one of the pizzas. I was planning on some cooking and reading but one of Mum's sisters rang. The most talkative one. She is sweet though.
