Katiej,Happy Birthday to your DH & Mum for tomorrow. :)
+1

That looks delicious, Uni.

Today I haven't been cooking as such,  I did do some hard boiled eggs which I then peeled and made into egg sandwich spread, then did some soft yolked ones which we had with toast soldiers for lunch. I also pureed some pears for bub, and also pureed up some frozen bananas into banana ice cream for the girls.  Then I have just made some df milo yoghurt to freeze for miss4s lunchboxes.
Love my thermomix.   :)

Im making a birthday cake for DS#1 its a Tim Tam cake, he is a chocoholic  :D
http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/33941/tim+tam+cake
and its  very rich, 600g of chocolate, I forgot to put the crushed tim tams on top of the filling before assembling found then when I was cleaning up. oh well tim tam ice-cream in the making  :)  just waiting for the ganache to thicken so I can ice it.  If it turns out ok I will post a photo.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Too hot to bake bread here today and after having a conversation with Chookie last night and being told I could cook bread in the slow cooker, today I made some.

I googled about it first then just made Chookie's No Fuss dough in the TMX, placed it straight into my 3.5 litre oval shaped slow cooker which I'd lined with baking paper. I sprinkled it with sesame seeds, put the lid on then turned it onto high and after 1.75 hours the bread had reached an internal temperature of 200oF and had risen almost up to the lid, much to my surprise.  SC bread does not brown on top so I brushed the top with melted butter and placed it under the pre-heated griller for 7 minutes.

I did cut into it before it had cooled down sufficiently as I was anxious to see how it tasted and this action did make it look as though it isn't cooked properly but it was and it also toasts up very evenly too.

Thanks for the idea Chookie.

Great bread Judy, and what a great idea.

I made a green smoothie for breakfast, which ds also loved. And then the pasta and beans recipe out of edc, bit bland for my taste, but everyone gobbled it up. Then made a treat for ds1 with some vanilla custard.

Finished dehydrating the raw lemon cookies.  Have posted the recipe.
Made cheats KFC.  Mixed some KFC spice in with beaten egg and a little milk. Also mixed some into panko  bread crumbs. Shallow fried,  ate with salad
I thought of Judy when I saw the bread recipe in the Crock Pot as she doesn't have a bread machine and it is too hot to light oven.   The bread cooked on the BBQ also works but it is too hot to go out into the sun to see how it is going.

Everyone's cooking looks great.
Jen I was thinking of making the Tim tam cake for my birthday later this year. Would love to hear your thoughts on it and a picture if possible?

Today I made my baked lemon cheesecake. Now I remember why I don't make it very often, I have to wait for it to chill for 4 hours. Drat.
