Tested out the airfryer for Kimmy's Lemon Cheesecake. Pretty good, especially when it's drizzled with strawberry coulis. Yum!

BZB you are the AF queen without a doubt.

Gert people don't seem able to last a couple of days without shopping. What with Ita and Easter they must be going crazy. I'm sure you will make some wonderful creations.

Urgh I was hoping to avoid them too Gert. But... We haven't been Easter egg shopping. Thinking I will send the husband tomorrow. No cooking happening here. I'm working and we are going away for Easter.

Gretch, I really don't know how you are going to do it. I really hate the crowds and the mentality that people seems to have that when there is a public holiday they are going to starve, even if the shops are shut for one day! Make sure you take a piccy poo of what you have made as a record and show us. I could never live on a farm, although I could if it was self sufficient. I've got way too much pantry ingredients in my house that I need to get creative with and use up.

Ditto on the pantry items cc and now that im buying all sorts of wonderful items from a local coop its only getting worse.. Need to stop buying!! Lol. Always something new though like tried hemp seeds yesterday.. Yum and maple chips which are like sugary crumbs.. Hard to find but delish :)

Gert shops are crazy.. Even worse when shopping with kids as you know.. The kids are spending easter with nan and pop this year and they are surprised at how little they like to eat commercial eggs, bunnies etc... DS told mum he likes the hunt for them but not eating them lol.  Mum said they will be coming home with alot of chocolate then :(. I can feel alot of cooking sweets to use them up!! We still have a couple of choc bunnies indownstairs fridge from last year.. Reminds me. I need to throw them out!

I hate that shopping  mentality that arises whenever we have a public holiday. We all have enough in our fridges, freezers and pantries to keep us well fed without everyone rushing to the supermarkets to stock up. The shop keepers must love it though.

A big cooking day planned. Hoping to make savoury muffins, caramilsed onions for a cheese flan, chicken cacciatore, lasagna, Thai chicken pies, slow cooked beef with porcini mushrooms, beef rendang, nasi goring, spicy fried chicken and some sort of soup, if time permits a few sweet treats as well but may not have enough time. Have a lamb roast for tonight with either Greek baked veg or a Greek salad and tzatziki.

Our friends from UK are arriving at 5.30 tonight and will be good to have some cooked meals in the freezer as i have not been cooking much during our renovations.

BZB I am trying not to look at your cooking in the AF  ;) ;) ;D  Looks terrific though

Gert, I understand about the shopping, I really cannot go if I wanted to as the car has broken down and won't be fixed until after Easter so I guess I will have to clean out the freezer and pantry.  I too have way too much stuff in there.

Frozzie, have often wondered what the hemp seeds were like?
MF, sound like a busy day planned, hope you have a lovely time with UK friends.

Have just started some bread will make some custard for icecream and goodness knows what else.  Hot cross buns later in week.

I hope you get to do all those meals MF, it's nice to spend quality time with our guests rather than in the kitchen and people do like home cooked meals when they visit.  Have a wonderful time with your guests.
