Astarra, what a great job your DD did.  I am sure she is being a big help to you and  will be a great cook in the future.
How is your arm now?

Chookie, those chips look great.  We grew the artichokes one year and no body like them so DH pulled them out.  Never thought of doing chips with them.

Emme,  I know why no one liked them.  The kids called them fartichokes.   I hope the crisps don't have the same effect.
Last time I grew them we also pulled them all out.  They do make a good wind break.

ROFL. Thanks Chookie. I have never tasted Jerusalem artichokes.
Astarra Miss 4 is a chef in the making. Well done to her. She will be reading the recipes to you in no time.

:D I just read these responses to her, she is grinning from ear to ear!!  :D
Thank you all - especially for making a little girl's day!

Emme, had a call from the hosp asking me to go back in as they had reviewed the results and were not happy, so went back in today and they told me on top of a fracture and bruised bone, I also have a "nasty thumb tendon" and I should not be moving it at all - bit hard with 4 girls, one of which is still in nappies.... :-\ Apparently am going to have to have a cortisone injection in it in 6wks. (hopefully the bones are healed by then.)  :-X :-)) >:( :-\ Little wonder it has been SO painful.  >:(
Just glad it is my left hand  :D :D

Gosh Astarra, sorry to hear that. At least you now know why it has been so painful and as you say good thing it is your left hand.  Take care

Oh dear Astarra, you certainly did a good job of it.  Thank goodness you have a wonderful DH and helpful girls.  Not sure what to suggest re nappies, pretty difficult one handed.  Take care. X

Astarra, you will need to rest up. Easier said than done with 4 little ones. Hopefully it will resolve sooner than later.
