Today  made a balsamic reduction.

http://www.superkitchenmachine.com/2012/16145/thermomix-recipe-balsamic-vinegar-reduction.html

I used 750 mls of Balsamic and it took about an hour to reduce . Just needed to replenish. A favourite.

Hahaha. Such a cute blog post from Helene. Love the intro 😆😆 Good one, Gert. Thanks.

Don't worry too much about it Hally. Keep looking on here and in your cookbooks. One day you will think, "ooh I want to make this. "

Love Helens reduction Gert. Have you experimented with flavours. Or just stick to the honey?

Today I made I love bimby chocolate cake and Maddy's chocolate buttercream (just love this recipe). Threw together some decorations and dah dah .....one last minute birthday cake.

Kimmy, that cake is just beautiful!  The decorations pure genius . . . so simple and yet so very effective.  You couldn't get better than that in a cakeshop . . and I'd hate to think what you'd be paying!! :D

Love the cake.

I have tried a few different things like port, orange zest , bay.  Nice to have a few in the fridge. I always buy the cheapest vinegar. Seems to make not a lot of difference when caramelised .

Today I've made a multi-grain Vienna loaf, chicken & brown rice soup and Den's pumpkin spelt fruit cake. I've also roasted the rest of the pumpkin in cubes, to add to a risotto in the next couple of days.

Later today I'm going to sous vide some chicken and some rhubarb (separately of course!)

Beef curry and pumpkin pies,  in pie maker.
Tarte Tatin with leftover trimmings from pies.
Mashed potatoes
Chicken Kiev , my recipe,  not posted.  No cheese in chicken mixture and baked in AF perfect.
