I've hit the freezer today, took out some cheese & garlic bread, minestrone soup and a filo lamb pie. The freezer's been well stocked again lately with ready meals so I may as well use them. Just need to cook some vegies to go with the lamb pie later.

Very nice, Kimmy. It looked like 4 different items, not three. What is the 4th one? What recipes did you use for all the gorgeous treats? I've got a couple of kids' bring-a-plate events coming up too. Love, love your platters 😃😄

Fantastic looking food folks. It makes me quite hungry.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Wonderful spread Kimmy.  :D

Love that granuesli Cornish, will make some more soon.  Am still enjoying the fruity porridge with added fresh fruit on top at the moment though.  8)

Thanks for your lovely comments BZB. I think everything looks good in bite size!
The plain mini quiches are just small versions of a normal everyday quiche. Roll out pastry (I use the one in this recipe http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11982.0) and line tray holes, sprinkle in chopped ham, spring onions and grated cheese. Pour in egg/milk mixture and cook.

The tarts are Judy's http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7770.0
The carrot cake http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13297.0
And finally jelly slice http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12152.0

Hope that helps xox

Going to churn some ice cream, made the custard base yesterday.
I only have the sort of machine that is a weak stirrer and the base is stored in the freezer.

Base was 4 yolks, scant 1/2 cup sugar, 1 &1/2 cup whole milk, and 1 cup double cream and scraped vanilla pod. Cooked in  *: at 80' 5mins speed 4, chilled overnight.

See how it goes. I've always wanted a churn type machine, but the budget never allows for it!

Going to a shop in town too for icicle bags, as discovered the calippo things I ordered are coming from china!!! So have canceled that order as need them now. Clearly when I ordered them I didn't look carefully enough, but I was in the hospital at the time with DH and rather tired.

Later.... Ermmmm the icecream is a saga in itself...
I tipped it into the shell of the mixer, not the bowl... DUH... Wondered why paddle didn't reach. That's how tired I am!!!

Anyway rescued it then taste didn't suit wrecked taste buds so have blitzed and mixed in 300g strawberries. Now hardening in freezer. Plenty others will eat it if still not suiting the patient.
Managed to get a 6 kit lolly stick and holder from local farm shop. Made two tropical juice, two ginger and two yogurt and strawberry. See what suits later.

I made sweetened condensed milk, followed by KIS basic icecream and easy 40 second icecream. Both recipes have same ingredients but different method. Doing a little experiment to see which is better and if one is harder than the other. Also made condensed milk biscuits (known on some blogs as 120 biscuits).

Very interested in this experiment, as lots of ice cream needed at the mo.
Please can someone send me the KIS recipe as I can't find it, thanks v much.

Ok so in my opinion the KIS basic icecream wins. It's definitely creamier rather than icy and is not as hard as the 40 second. Can scoop from container without waiting or microwaving. Hope that helps DJ.
