They all look yummy.  I've caught up on some baking this weekend. I made a cheat's version of Sachertorte for a Eurovision party using my quick mix choc cake, homemade apricot jam and Isi's chocolate topping. I also made tahini biscuits, Anzacs and Jonro's jam drops.
I've got a jointed chicken in Tenina's tandoori marinade ready for tea, fed my sourdough starter ready to make an overnight loaf, and made a huge pot of broccoli & cheese soup in my pressure cooker.

Why are your cauliflowers so expensive?

Part of the expensive price is due to shortage Denise - I think a spell of bad weather hit the crops and the other reason is they are in huge demand here. Those who eat Paleo or a low carb high fat diet eat a lot of cauliflower as cauliflower rice (as they don't eat normal rice).

High demand together with short supply = high price.
The seem to be coming down in price again lately which is good.

The weeks before we left home our cauliflowers were between $5 and $7 each. I think there will be more around as winter comes.
