Great cooking girls.  It looks like you had a great day in the kitchen cookie.

That's disappointing Troupie. It would be a shame to throw it out. Was it a baked or unbaked slice? Could you throw it back into the jug, whizz it up to break it up and then add some melted butter, and  press it into the tin again? You could just sprinkle it over icecream, or use it for a crumble topping over Apple or rhubarb.
I did some baking yesterday, starting with an overnight sourdough loaf. I made mini quiches, tahini biscuits, ginger slice and some yummy almond tarts from journal of a French foodie's website.

Oh, and today I used some of the 2 litre container of cream I bought at the farmers market to make a batch of vanilla icecream and another of chocolate icecream.

Love your cooking ES.
Yesterday I made cheese and chive scones.
Today I made cauliflower soup, cookies and cream cheesecake, passionfruit slice, tortillas and beef enchiladas.

Thanks for your ideas ES; it was unbaked. Must use it for something as it was a lot of costly ingredients. Waste not, want not the old saying goes.

Off on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow so used up some veges, stock and yogurt  to make a pumpkin soup to freeze in small lots for work lunches, plus lots of stock from a roasted duck carcass. Got to have a look at a TM5 today with mum  and Dad (80 years young). She bought a TM3 at my demo 4 years ago when I bought mine. Now she's gone one better and upgraded and is loving the cooking for 2 chip she got as an extra. Must admit it looks good but not enough to make me want to trade up my TM3. Now DB is loaning her old machine and is becoming quite a keen cook thanks to this forum.

How exciting for your Mum and DB Bonsai. Enjoy the break, I'm sure you have earned it.

Lovely cooking everyone.

I made an old fashioned Gingerbread yesterday for GD2.

Oh I love all those cakes and bread.  Mustn't look.
Today made 6 jars of Quince and Apple Jelly.  I should be packing as we are going away for a few days.

Great looking jelly Chookie.

Mab I like the sound (and look) of the gingerbread, is it more like a bread or cake?
