Just mixed a couple of marinades today.Lime and Pepper to marinate chicken breasts for our BBQ tonight. The second was Nigella's Char Siu marinade.I popped pork loin chops into the marinade for tomorrow's dinner. Its needs 24 hours to absorb the flavours.  :)

I made Indonesian Chickpea Satay from one of the Revive Cafe's cookbooks (the green one I think, but I cannot remember).  Always a quick and easy meal with kale or spinach mixed in at the end and rice.

Also made Treacle Gingerbread Loaf - for the first time I have made something which I am pleased enough with to take a photo of for you all ... but I didn't have a camera  :o  and there's very little left now for a photo.  It turned out to be a beautifully easy loaf to bake and made vegetarian by using soy milk instead of dairy.  Totaly delicious.

Cookie's Vienna Loaf today.

I used a mixture of bread flour and some of the oat, barley & quinoa mix that I milled first.

I love the idea of the flour mix.

I only made bread today too.

My TM5 is home from the service centre (7 days from getting picked up, I am totally impressed) and the boys have been asking all week, so Skinnymixers Butter Chicken it is.
Also feeding up my starter for an overnight sourdough loaf, it's my first try and I'm hoping to not be posting a fail in the morning!

I haven't been cooking much either, and haven't baked for weeks. I did make chocolate Icecream and KFC chicken yesterday, and tonight I made almond and cauliflower soup for dinner.

The soup looks lovely ES. I have bread rising and the biscuit barrel is empty.

I have now made some Caramel Slice for the biscuit barrel, cooked  the bread and made some vegetable stock concentrate.

That looks nice Cookie.

I made 3 small jars of Chookies Strawberry Conserve this morning.  Gave one to a friend who called in for morning tea.

This afternoon I decided to make some soup for tomorrows lunch so tried this Family Chowder from JulieO.  Something different and very tasty.

Mab, what a terrific loaf. Nice to be able to mix the grains.
ES, nice looking soup.
Yesterday I steamed Salmon in the Varoma in a lemon and Caper Sauce.( recipe posted ) served with microwaved potato and salad from garden.
Also made Isi's light Coffee cream and Carrot and lentil soup with Brons Veggie concentrate added.
Have cooked 3 loaves of bread in last 2 days. 2 mini and one with wholemeal flour from anew mill near us.  Fresh stone ground flour makes such a difference.
