Everyone's been busy in the kitchen.
I hope to do some cooking tomorrow after work. Nothing I cook turns out though so maybe will choose something from the basic cookbook and cross my fingers.

Today I've made a wholemeal version of Cookie's classic bread and a focaccia.

Bread looks nice Katie, I'm in the process of making that yummy brown rice salad to take to a BBQ tonight.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Nice bread & foccacia Katie.

I made some these Cinnamon Raisin Buns today.  I only did a half quantity after reading chookies comments in the original recipe.  They are very moorish and a big hit with the family.

We have run out of bread so I made two loaves this morning and didn't hear the timer ring; they were a very nice golden brown and very crunchy which we like. It was too hot to cook this morning and the dough had done its first rise and running over the bowl in no time at all.

Lovely breads and buns. I think I may make some cinnamon buns or scrolls. I really love them.

Katie, your bread always looks so professional. Beautiful. Thanks for the photo.
I recently made some wholemeal and grain rolls and gave most away. Thought they didn't look all that good, however recipients rang to say they were very nice so I tried a couple that I had kept. They were very nice reheated in AF. Today I will make another batch. The recipe makes 20 small rolls. Could be handy as dinner rolls for Xmas.
I will post and take photo of new batch.

Your cinnamon buns look perfect Mab.

Thanks Chookie. I think your bread always looks wonderful. I like the sound of your wholemeal grain rolls, I'm trying to not make too much white bread and to incorporate more grains into our diet.

I have got quite a few vegan ' cheeze' recipes so decided to try Chicotta Cheese by oneingredientchef.  Tastes surprisingly good.  I have made it into a lasagna so haven't really given it a good tasting yet.  Also made a lovely creamy vege pasta dish by simplythermomix - I like this because it is an all in one (TMX) bowl meal; my usual huge pot of rice and quinoa to freeze and, finally a Pumpkin and Chickpea stew by thermomixer, as expected from this source, this is also very nice meal.

I love reading what you've been cooking up Marina. For no-meat meals, your choices always sound so tasty.

Thanks, Judy.  Just as an after note, the lasagna turned out really nice.  The 'cheeze' was a cashew based "ricotta" hence the name!.  Definitely doing it again.  Best day of experimenting for a long time ... I hadn't made anything today that I had  made before so it was an interesting time.
