Might play around with the SD today.  Might see what happens when I add Oat Bran to crumpet batter.
Still have Chicken Pot Pies and soup from yesterday.

Would oat bran be a bit heavy, Chookie?  Would rolled oats (or lightly milled rolled oats) be lighter?

Yesterday  6 meat pies for the freezer.  Today meat patties, gravy and vegetable casserole ready for tonights dinner.  We will be home late and DS will be looking for dinner before we get home.

Marina, the oatbran is very light and fine.  It is also cheap.  I often have it cooked in milk for breakfast with blue berries and walnuts.
I made the crumpets with added oat bran and they were very nice.  Slightly crisper around the edges when toasted in the toaster.  I added 20 g to two cups of starter.  They looked like wholemeal crumpets but ate a lot lighter.  I cooked them in the Pie Maker.
Will continue to do this as a bit more fiber is a good thing.

I will have to give it a try Chookie. I have made a Coffee and Walnut Cake from the British cook book. It certainly smells nice.

The crumpets look wonderful.

The Kiwi Fruit jam I made the other day.

Cookie, it does look nice.  Did you eat any?
K Atie, lemon and poppy seed biscuits sound nice.
Might make some biscuits for Ral.  As long as they are very sweet and have chocolate they
will be ok. Maybe chocolate chip?
I am not eating biscuits or cake at the moment.  I am trying the 8/16 Intermittent Diet.  Finding the 5/2 a struggle in the cold weather.  Tried the 800 calorie one , too severe.  This seems to fit in with our life style so might be sustainable.
Would be interested to hear if anyone else has tried it.

No Chookie I haven't eaten any of the cake. I tasted a tiny bit of the jam and it was lovely.
Today I'm planning to try another recipe from the Baking with Thermomix book. It has cooked pumpkin in the loaf and I have cooked the pumpkin and waiting for it to cool.

I made a quiche yesterday and today I have a pot of vegetable soup on and I have three  trifles to finish.  1 for SIL who loves his trifle, 1 for the rest of the family and a small one for us.
