Dried Apricot Jam. There is a nice chicken recipe that includes this.

Cleaner came yesterday. . She always struggles with what to feed her family for Dinner. I made her some Apricot sauce for chicken bake. One of her DD is vegan. I think she could coat Tofu with the sauce and bake it. I also made a small amount for me.

I think tofu coated with the sauce would be very nice Chookie.
No cooking here. I need to get some done though.

Big cook up yesterday for the kids’ monthly visit plus some for a friend, just soup for me. Can’t wait for the warmer weather as I’m getting tired of soup.

Vegetable soup for my lunch, a beef stew some for GS and the rest in the freezer, then some worcestershire sauce as I was almost out of it.

Definitely soups and stews weather - I love it - I don't need to think of something different to cook, just pull out my list of both alternatives and go for it.  Warmer weather is always a challenge for me to think of interesting things to make.

For now, I haven't got the urge to cook back yet, but as the week goes by I am sure I will start prowling around the kitchen once again, recipe in hand, and pots and pans on the cooker!

I’ve been playing with my new Ninja electric BBQ, AF and smoker. It’s a little beauty. It’s a bit fiddly to start but I think this is me as it gets easier each time. I’ve looked at several utube demonstrations. Not much help and the people are awful.

Yesterday while shopping, saw a line of frozen berries that Woolies were getting rid of. $3 instead of $6. I bought 4 packets.  To add variety to my jams, I often add frozen berries. By 11 pm last night I had made 16 jars.
A member at Probus gave me a massive bunch of Silverbeet. While talking, she didn’t know what Cardamom was. I’ll make her some Cardamom biscuits.

What will you do with the silverbeet Chookie?  DS loves t it and I often make him a creamed silverbeet dish with mushrooms.

I made some toffee from Cookidoo today and also some Burnt Butter and Raisin biscuits from https://cloudykitchen.com/blog/oatmeal-raisin-cookies/
They were delicious. Tapatalk is being mean and I can’t post photos at the moment.
Oops, it likes me now.

Mab, I always add nutmeg to the silverbeet. I like it in a Hunza Pie but the family don’t like this. Mostly I make filo pastry filled with silverbeet and feta or ricotta. With mushrooms sounds nice.
