Judy, thanks for the link, looks good.
The green tomato cup cakes were a great success. I added my French 4 spice mix. It was perfect. The pepper in the mix really lifted the taste.

Yesterday I made some stir fry chicken and veg to eat today as I won’t have time to cook today. Also Portuguese custard tarts. The tarts are for afternoon tea at Mahjong.

Cookie, thanks for the push. I must start making some.
Made fig and ginger jam. Used apple liquid from cooked and strained apples instead of water. . Certainly improved the texture.

Made some Hot X Buns. Did a little experimenting. Used 1/2 plain flour and 1/2  bread flour. Soaked the fruit in Dark Rum and used mostly Cardamom. Flavour excellent. Will return to using all bread flour as the texture wasn’t good. Will allow more time for slow rising as pushing the rising didn’t allow for smooth round buns. I wanted to give some to my cleaner to take home so forced the rise.

I’ve been given another bag of figs. The last lot of jam I made with figs was the best yet. I used strained cooked apple juice instead of water. Will do same with this lot.
Did a shop at The Source yesterday. Bought some Rye flour to feed SD. Will be playing around with SD recipes today. We are in for a run of days in mid 30’s. Perfect for bread making.

I didn’t cook today. I did make a bran loaf yesterday and it’s almost all gone. I had some toasted seeds leftover so I added those in. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2868.msg32336#msg32336
