I've been practicing the Varoma demo recipes, so we had chickpea & spinach soup and warm chicken, pumpkin & couscous salad for dinner tonight - yum!  Makes soooo much... the salad serves about 10 so we had leftovers, and we have soup left over too.  My dh just asked hopefully if I was going to practice the rest of the demo tonight!  I think he's getting spoilt.  :-)) I got up at 5.00am yesterday morning to make his lunch for work (as there was no food in the house and he can't leave work to buy anything), and was halfway through making a vege curry and rice when I realized I had no curry powder, so I made the Madras curry powder from the Indian cookbook...  I was thinking, "What am I doing, making curry powder at 5.30 in the morning???"  Sad.  Time he learnt to cook I think!  So he's coming to a demo with me this Saturday for a Tmx lesson!!!  ;)

The  names of the recipes not so but the actual recipes YES. Certainly a consultant would be brave to post them  ;)

The host only gets a copy AFTER the demo...

I would love a varoma demo but I don't think they do them here in the U.K.

Will post them Cathy, just want to make them again with a tweak to be really happy with them.

Have added to my baking today, rough puff pastry, vegetarian sausage rolls, short crust pastry, mini egg and bacon pies, bug spray (my garden is getting eaten alive  :o :o) about to make heaps of biscuits and chicken stroganoff for dinner

My parents are moving house tomorrow so I have had to be very productive today. Some to take with me to feed the troops tomorrow and also it is a day out of the kitchen for me, so will be another busy day on Sunday  ;)

Judy,  somewhere you were looking for ways to use up leftover stout.  There is a chocolate cake recipe that uses stout,  and it is very nice.  DIL used to make it as an adult Birthday cake from this recipe.

Thanks Chookie, that would be CP63's Guiness Chocolate Cake and it sounds very nice indeed.

Today we had a Christmas in July roast turkey roll lunch with Mum - she is going to a Christmas in July party at her retirement village tonight so I thought I'd complete the day by having her in for a nice roast.  Cooked the meat and vegies in the weber, steamed more vegies and made the gravy in the TMX and yummo, it was delicious as both DH & Mum said many times during lunch. Made an extra serving for Mum to take home for her lunch tomorrow.   Yesterday I made her a corn relish/philly cream cheese dip to take tonight for supper.

You're so thoughtful Judy, I bet your mum was chuffed.  :)

I just wanted to show my latest endeavors with my KitchenAid pasta attachments.  This time with the ravioli one that I've just bought.  I wasted two lots because I didn't have the guide or hopper clicked in properly resulting in mush, but once I'd realised my mistake the last lot worked perfectly.

Here they are just made and before I put them in the freezer.  Didn't take long to freeze, then I put them in a zip lock bag until I next make this particular recipe for the filling which was vegetable & bacon and tasted really nice.  I'm really happy with how they turned out, they are perfectly filled little pillows the perfect size to eat.  :D
