Friends over for a bbq, so we are had Smoked Salmon Dip, Antipasto Platter, Garlic Bread, marinated Oyster Steak , assorted sausages, Beetroot Salad (EDC p39 )Rocket, Pear & Parmesan Salad (Nico Moretti recipe), Spiced bbq Pumpkin (Nico Moretti recipe), Garlic Bread, Pavlova with Raspberry Cream  latter maybe not a good choice considering the humidity but everyone enjoyed it, however I think would have got more oohs and aahs with Sticky Date Pudding from EDC today. (anyway I said to DH in future not to invite people over on a workday cos its kinda hard even though I work from home - why do they always end up looking good cooking at the bbq at the end???)

;D ;D ;D Too true CP, if it was just left to the men most would just cook the meat and onions and that would be it  ;D ;D
Sounded like a wonderful BBQ.  We are off to one today and if it is half as good as yours I'll be happy. That salad of Nico's really is great - a change from the old lettuce, cucumber and tomato aye  ;)

I haven't contributed to this thread for a while now but I've still been cooking merrily away!  ;D  The TMX gets used at least once a day, particular favourites are the oreo biscuits and chocolate chip scones (like sultana scones but with chocolate chips in!)

Today the boys went on a sourdough pizza making workshop at a bakery near us (I say near us, but it was an hours drive away!)  Lovely drive through the Dorset countryside on a really gorgeous sunny, Spring Day.

When we came home I finally knocked up some pizza bases that I've been meaning to do.  The idea was to put toppings on them and then put them in the freezer for when we fancy a frozen pizza!  I bought some pizzas from Tesco a couple of weeks ago and when I got them out of the packet I was just appalled at the poor value for money and resolved to make my own and keep some in stock.  Anyway, I had no white flour so the bases are 100% wholemeal and not really enough toppings so I made one pizza which was immediately eaten and froze the rest of the bases.

I haven't been contributing much to the forum lately but today I adapted a recipe from a slow cooker website and it turned out really nice.

Peanut butter chicken - I served it with rice and wilted pak choi and babycorn

I guess it would be selfish of me not to put the recipe on the board - see main meals section for further details  :) :)

Well its my first time cooking today and i have borrowed a friends TMX (mine will be arriving during the week). I am having a friend over for lunch and we will be eating Capsicum Sundried Tomatoe Dip, Warm Chicken, Pumpkin and Couscous Salad and Berry Fruity Dream. Im slightly nervous but looking forward to the challenge. They are all receipes from the Demo i went to last week so i have an idea of how its meant to go.

Wish me luck!

xx
