Maddy, just noticed your signature...we are members here!  My DH has been following them religiously his whole life and since we had our boys he just had to sign them (well, all of us) up as members.  Your cupcakes look very cute!

Whipped up a quick chocolate "Quicker than a packet cake" to put into the oven before I left for work, and left DH to ice and decorate it for the builders at our place pouring concrete today ....... that recipe really is amazing!  Thanks berringamababe  :-*

After work, am planning on making apricot chicken for dinner, and some cheese and bacon rolls for the kids for lunch.

You have all been so industrious. I'm looking forward to being back in my kitchen and having all the things in the pantry at my disposal again.

Kathryn and Meagan I'm glad your sourdoughs are so good. DH really likes most of the loaves I make.
Meagan if you used Yoke's recipe for the fruit loaf I must agree with you about the taste of it. I had some in the freezer up here and sliced and toasted it the other morning for morning tea and everyone raved about it. I can't wait for her second book to come out.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Made pumpkin and carrot soup yesterday. Yum

Made cheesymite scrolls based on isi Portuguese rolls. Everyone liked them.

Made savoury muffins and kids not so fussed but we didn't mind them! Lol

Going to do up some of rara pancake batter and debating whether to make garlic rice to go with devilled sausages or mash. Might make rice as have to make it tomorrow anyway.

Apart from that I'm making cupcakes but in the kenwood lol

My Perfect Pasties, Cathy's Hedgehog Slice and not sure what to make for tea, I need some inspiration!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Yum!  Love this thread, lots of great ideas.

We had pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast (why have I only just discovered the Salted Caramel Ice Cream recipe???), minestrone soup with bread rolls for lunch and an oven meal for dinner (broiled salmon, roasted red peppers, zucchini and red onion with roast potatoes) while I did a loaf of bread in thermie.  Finished off the evening with a chocolate custard, so no ice cream for me tonight but will have to give that one a try!

Last night I ended up making a version of the Creamy Tomato Salami & Fettucine from the EDC, except I used chicken left over from a roast and sun dried tomatoes and tomato paste instead of tinned tomatoes. It was lovely.

Today, made Chicken, Corn and Potato Soup with stock from chicken carcass and ILB's Chocolate Bimby Cake as muffins. Also made Chocolate Buttercream for the muffins.

In my Skinflint workshop, I made Olive Gardener's Balm!
